Liquid separators

Suction accumulators protects the compressor from a possible refrigerant leak and is installed in vertical position as close as possible to the compressor and preferably at the same height.

OCS suggest to heat insulate the suction accumulators in order to protect it from external condensation and corrosion. OCS can supply suction accumulators already insulated.

In order to ensure an efficient return of oil to the compressor we suggest you a transition speed between 8 and 12 m / sec (at lower speed the return is not guarantee).

Choosing the liquid separator take into account:

• Refrigerant type and its capacity (al least the 50 % of the total system)
• Evaporation point
• Compressor power
